Snowkite lessons with an instructor and transport, here in the magnificent Vitosha mountain is probably the best way to go about the weekend, don't you think so? We thought so too. That is why we are offering a variety of snowkite lessons in duration, experience and skill. With our flagman, the 4-day snowkite course "Ready for Snow", you'll be transformed from an ordinary skier or a snowboarder to a high-flying speedster with a kite. Alright, maybe we're exaggerating a bit, but this will be our fifth year teaching people how to snowkite, and the numbers don't lie. We have a horde of trained snow kiters that are spreading the good word of the sport.
How do I decide how many snowkite lessons I should need?
Well, as many as you can make the time for! If you haven't done kiteboarding at sea, you'll need the full 4-day course cycle so you can be confident in snowkiting. We've done the math, and we would say that within 10 to 12 hours most people get a very good gist of the sport and are ready to practice it on their own. That is why we've broken down these hours into four separate lessons in four different days. Because good things happen to the ones who can spare four days. This is how it looks:
-
Day one: we take you from our kite shop, go to Vitosha, have a walk to a designated snowkite spot. After that we'll talk about the intricacies of the sport and a bit on the important issue of mountain safety. After that together we'll get a kite in the air and land it.
-
Day two: a 4-line kite preparation, proper takeoff and landing techniques. After that, if you feel confident enough, you'll do your first snowkite lines and a couple of turns.
-
Day three: repeat day two, but faster and with more style.
-
Day four: clearing any mistakes and fortifying what has been learned.
What else I have to do before coming for a snowkite lesson?
Be reasonably good at skiing or snowboarding. Snowkiting is a step-up of the previously mentioned sports so you'll need to be good on the plank/planks before progressing to the kite.
Why choose us?
